Study Abroad and Overseas Training

Study Abroad

In the Faculty of Business Administration, we offer credited study abroad programs (study abroad in the second year/graduate in four years) along with courses designed to support two categories of study abroad: Overseas Business Seminar and Overseas Internship. For some of these programs, the University subsidizes part of the cost of studying abroad. Students study abroad for about 10 months.
Destinations for students who take Overseas Business Seminar:

• English-speaking countries: United States - University of Central Florida

• Chinese-speaking countries: Hubei University (China), Aletheia University (Taiwan), Kainan University (Taiwan)

• South Korea: Myongji University

Destination for students who take Overseas Internship:

• Australia

Details of each program are introduced briefly below.

English-Speaking Countries

Overseas Business Seminar: Students start from English conversation, reading comprehension, writing, vocabulary, and pronunciation, before moving on to study applied fields (upon approval) such as management, intercultural understanding, and TOEFL/TOEIC strategies.
Overseas Internship: The Internship consists of a 3-month homestay and language study component, a 1-month unpaid internship (pre-training), and a 6-month paid internship (working as part of a local team). After studying at an English school in Sydney, students experience working at a high school or other educational institution, café, or restaurant in the city, or at resort hotel at a major tourist destination in Australia. A certain level of English proficiency is required.

Chinese-Speaking Countries

Overseas Business Seminar: After mastering Chinese pronunciation, conversation, reading comprehension, and vocabulary, students take university classes (lectures in management and IT), and expand their horizons through local study tours, etc.

Korean-Speaking Countries

Overseas Business Seminar: Students stay overseas for one year as a non-degree seeking international student, under a partnership agreement with Myongji University, where they take classes in Korean language and business administration.

It is normal to experience difficulties while living overseas. Overcoming these challenges is what helps us to grow. By placing yourself within a different culture and resolving the problems you encounter one by one, you will become a stronger and more confident person. Please have the courage to surmount the challenges you encounter. We hope that this study abroad experience will play an important role in shaping your new life.

Overseas Training

We also offer short-term overseas training programs. So far, we have organized study tours to the United States, China, Taiwan, Mongolia, and Egypt, which are open to all students.

Faculty members with a wealth of experience living in these countries and regions have worked with people there to develop and implement programs for Seijoh students. The programs encompass an extensive range of content, including language training, exchange with locals, and participation in social activities. The students who take part in these short-term training programs encounter other cultures, experience self-discovery, and return to Japan stronger and more confident. In the Faculty of Business Administration, the programs are conducted as part of the Intercultural Understanding Seminar, a credited class. We encourage you to take part in these short-term study tours.
